Meet the owner/designer

Thank you for visiting the Squid Blog. It's been on my mind for so long and now is finally here. I'm excited to share with you all the action at Squidkid Design and how it all happens around here. So this is my chance to start. 

My daughter (J) has been my inspiration since day one. When she was born I started making her own clothes and after a while I just loved getting to pick my favorite fabrics, experimenting with colors and patterns, and making clothes for her that I really liked. Even now that she is older we go and choose fabrics together for new projects.

At Squidkid Design I want to create handmade items to bring style into kids daily activities, clothes that are fun and cute for children to wear. All our clothing is made in Vancouver, B.C. from start to finish. And that would be me, making every single item special for every child, many times inspired by and with the help of my own little daughter.

I work from home in between meals and trips to all sort of toddler lessons, and most of the work gets done late at night. My days are always crazy and never the same but I'm loving every single one of them...
